I-R-S Scam in Dubuuqe

The Dubuque Police Department and the  Dubuque County Sheriff's Department is warning residents of an IRS phone scam that has surfaced this week.

Captain Dale Snyder say over the past several days the Dubuque County area has been inundated with fraudulent phone calls to residents with a recording claiming to be from the IRS. The recording says they are filing a lawsuit and will send law enforcement to arrest you if you do not pay them. These phone call are Fake and a Scam.  DO NOT call them back.  And do not give them any personal information.

The IRS does not communicate or conduct business in this manner. Please share this information with friends and family, especially the elderly.
