Garth lights up the phones….breaks ticketmaster

When tickets for a Garth Brooks concert in Atlanta went on sale last week, there were so many people trying to get tickets it shut down ticketmaster.  See the whole story by CLICKING HERE.  I remember a similar incident involving Garth Brooks right here in the tri-states.   WJOD was giving away tickets to a Garth Brooks concert in Iowa City.  Listeners had to call in to win the tickets.  One day while running the contest so many people working at Medical Associates were trying to call in to WJOD...it shutdown the switchboard.....at Medical Associates.   I've had the pleasure of running many contests on WJOD...and anytime we give away Garth tickets anything can happen.  Can't wait for his five concerts in Chicago next month.
