Friday night (1/13) saw the Saints in a back-and-forth battle with the RoughRiders. Their fire power proved too much on the evening as 2 goals across each period cemented their 6-3 win over the RoughRiders. Cedar rapids may feel hard done on the evening as they were able to capitalize on 2 of 3 power plays while shutting down Dubuque's lone attempt. They also outshot the Saints 28 to 25 on the night. Ryan St. Louis and Captain Riley Stuart both scored 2 on the evening. That brings Ryan's point total to 31 points, amassing 12 goals and 19 assist across 25 games. He is currently averaging 1.24 points per game.

Cedar Rapids came into the weekend series in good form, having won five straight games and climbing to 3rd place in the Eastern Conference. The momentum would not be enough to bring away a win at home for them on Saturday night either. Back-and-forth scoring led to a climatic overtime finish! It saw you Saints sweep the weekend with the RoughRiders, in a 4-3 overtime victory.

The RoughRiders again shut-out both Saints powerplay attempts and capitalized on 1 of their 3 chances. Ryan St. Louis again made the scoresheet. The game was wrapped up by Forward Jake Sondreal just past the 4th minute of extra time. The RoughRiders also outshot the Saints 33 to 29 on the evening.

Saints look to continue in this vein of fine form when the Des Moines Buccaneers come to Dubuque Ice Arena this Friday (1/20) for a 7:05pm puck drop. The action is back on Saturday (1/21) as the Saints take on the Waterloo Black Hawks. As always tune in to Eagle 102.3 for all the action!
