Zac Brown Band may have a busy tour schedule planned for summer of 2018, but that doesn't mean they don't already have big plans for their next album. ZBB's Jimmy De Martini recently told Billboard that, when creating new material, the group wants to "just keep writing music and try to do a different type of music every time we put out a new album."

"We have a bunch of songs in the bag -- we actually have some halfway recorded," he goes on to say about the new material that the group has been working on. "I’m not sure exactly what we're gonna do or when we're gonna record it, but it's kind of a surprise. I don't think I can reveal too much, but just say it's a different sound.

"We're stretching the boundaries again, for sure," De Martini adds. "Sonically it may vary from some stuff we've done in the past, but I think people like that about us. Overall we try to just make good music."

This new project is the followup to ZBB's Welcome Homewhich was released in 2017. That project was the group's fifth studio album overall, and brought the band back to their country roots with music similar to what was released on their first major-label album, The Foundation.
