Zac Brown Band are giving their fans an advance listen to another one of the new songs from their forthcoming album Welcome Home. On Friday (March 10), the band released a lyric video for the song "Real Thing."

Track No. 2 on Welcome Home opens with a simple piano line before a guitar kicks in as well; the melody becomes more lush as the track progresses. The song celebrates the beauty of finding something that's real, true and perfect, whether it's whiskey (the first verse), love (the second verse) or music (the third verse).

"Ain't nothin' like the real thing / And you can't go back once you get a taste / Everything is second rate / I'm talkin' genuine, made-in-the-USA / Ain't nothin' like the real thing ...," Zac Brown sings in the chorus of "Real Thing," before he and his bandmates harmonize on the lines "Real thing / There ain't nothin' like the real thing, baby / There ain't nothin'."

"Real Thing" is the second song that Zac Brown Band fans have gotten to hear from Welcome Home; the band released the album's first single, "My Old Man," in early February. The ZBB say that their forthcoming project will bring them “straight back to their roots, Foundation-style,” referring to the group’s first major-label album, The Foundation; it's set for release on May 12.

Also on May 12, the Zac Brown Band will begin their 2017 Welcome Home Tour, in their hometown of Atlanta, Ga. Throughout the summer and fall, the band will play in Illinois, Florida, California and more, including a number of two-night stands at various stadiums and amphitheaters; also among the trek’s stops is WE Fest 2017, in Detroit Lakes, Minn., in August.
