Thomas Rhett and his wife, Lauren Akins, are already parents to two children, but the blossoming country superstar says they're probably not done yet.

"Lauren wants to have five kids before she turns 34. That is her plan," Rhett tells Access Online of his wife, who is now 28. "So you can probably expect three new babies in the next five years. She's the boss."

Rhett and Akins adopted their first daughter, Willa Gray, from Uganda in May of 2017, and by the time they brought her home, they found out that Akins was also pregnant. They welcomed their second daughter, Ada James, in August of 2017, and Rhett admits it's been a big adjustment to go from no children to two.

Thomas Rhett Shares How Family Inspired New Song, "Life Changes"

"I feel like we're starting to finally come up for air," he says. "Obviously, we were thrown into two at the same time, so we had to learn how to parent a 2-year-old and an infant at the same time. But now, they're both starting to play with each other. Ada is starting to walk, and Willa is starting to have legitimate grown-up conversations, which is hilarious. They both just have big personalities."

Rhett and Akins are avid supporters of a group called 147 Million Orphans, and he says they are "absolutely" considering adopting again, though they have no set plans in that regard.

"I don't know when," he shares. "We'll probably just wait for god to put that in our path and figure that out in that way, but we would definitely love to adopt again."

Rhett has just released "Goodbye Summer," a new duet with Danielle Bradbery. He's currently on the road with Kenny Chesney, and he's set to resume his solo Life Changes Tour in Bangor, Maine, on Sept. 13. Brett Young is slated to open all of the dates, while Carly Pearce, Midland, Russell Dickerson and Jillian Jacqueline will appear in select cities.
