Thanksgiving Blood Drive

While you are giving thanks this Thanksgiving, why not give thanks to someone else by giving blood.
The American Red Cross invites community members to give the gift of life on Friday Nov. 27 at the 29^th annual Dubuque Thanksgiving Holiday Blood Drive. In the spirit of the season, the Red Cross is thanking all presenting donors with a slice of pie and a Red Cross spoon with unique recipes from celebrity chefs, while supplies last.

Patients do not get a holiday from needing blood and platelets. The need is constant and blood and platelet donations tend to decline between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day when people become busy with the holiday festivities. The Red Cross encourages you to continue the 29 year tradition to help give hospital patients an opportunity to spend another holiday with their loved ones.
