Shots Fired Wednesday in Dubuque

On July 28^th, 2015, at 6:13 p.m., Dubuque Police and Fire Department personnel responded to 1812 Central Avenue, Apartment #1, on the report of a person suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen.  Upon arrival, that person was located and ultimately identified as Tony R. Hickman, 26, of 483 Loras Boulevard, Apartment #5.  Hickman was transported to Mercy Hospital and taken into surgery.  His wound is not believed to be life-threatening.  No arrest has been made and the investigation remains ongoing despite limited cooperation with law enforcement.

Later the same night at 10:02 p.m., officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 1900 block of Jackson Street.  Traffic cameras in the area captured footage of the suspect firing the shots prior to fleeing the area with several other individuals.  Damage consistent with bullet impact was located on a vehicle in the area, as well as to a residence in the 1900 block of Jackson Street.  No injuries were reported and no arrest has been made.  This investigation also remains ongoing.
