Of course I'm talking about the grass for your lawn....not the kind you smoke.  I recently had some cement work down at my house that required tearing up some of the grass in my yard.  I've since re-planted several areas and to my surprise the grass actually grew.   Now I've never had much luck getting my grass to grow so I wondered why it did so well this time around.  Turns out September is an ideal time to plant grass in Iowa.  Who knew.  By the way, if you don't have time to plant grass seed now, the month of April is also a good time to grow grass(again the legal kind).  For more planting tips you can check out these websites.
