Before Old Dominion became country stars in their own right, the band's members -- Matthew Ramsey, Trevor Rosen Whit Sellers, Geoff Sprung and Brad Tursi -- were making names for themselves as songwriters in Nashville. Their careers as tunesmiths, of course, mean they've got plenty of famous friends -- and they called on a number of them on Wednesday night (Sept. 18), during their first-ever headlining gig at the Ryman Auditorium.

Readers can press play above to watch Old Dominion team up with Sam Hunt -- one of those famous friends -- during their Ryman show. Video footage on social media also shows them performing Hunt's "Make You Miss Me." Both songs, from Hunt's debut album, Montevallo, were co-written by Ramsey.

"[We] were in those writing rooms, gettin' to know these guys, kind of telling our stories, figuring out what we wanted to say for our first records," Hunt shared from stage. "Man, I'm just so proud of what you guys have done the past few years; it's amazing, to talk all this out in those rooms several years ago, and then to see it happen, it's amazing."

In addition to Hunt, Old Dominion's Ryman show special guests were Kelsea BalleriniMichael Ray and Kenny Chesney. Ramsey and Tursi helped write Chesney's hit "Save It for a Rainy Day," which they performed together on Tuesday night; Ballerini helped out with OD's song "Written in the Sand" and her own "I Hate Love Songs," the latter co-written by Rosen, while Ray performed his newest single, "One That Got Away," on which Ramsey and Rosen have songwriting credits.

Taste of Country reports that Old Dominion's Tuesday night setlist also included new songs called "Smooth Sailing" and "Make It Sweet." The show raised $40,000 for the Ryan Seacrest Foundation and the Opry Trust Fund.
