I still enjoy the game of golf but with my work schedule getting the time to play can be tough.  In fact I've only been out 3 times this year and each of those outings was a "best shot" tournament.  It's no secret, the number of people golfing has been on the decline.  I believe the main reasons are the cost and the time it takes to play.  When I do get some time off work I like to spend it with my wife and family.  But now there are two new ways to enjoy golf.   One is Foot Golf....a combination of soccer and golf.  All you need is a soccer ball.  You kick the ball into a hole that is 21 inches in diameter.

The other is "Hack Golf".  Hack Golf uses all the same equipment as regular golf.  The only difference is the size of the cup you putt into.  It's a whopping 15 inches in diameter.

Hack golf is currently available at Eagle Ridge in Galena.  Foot Golf is available at both Eagle Ridge and Lacoma Golf Course.  Ken.

Foot golf and hack golf are two innovations that already have made their way to Eagle Ridge. Elsewhere, indoor facilities are trying to draw in customers with "golf simulators," computerized programs that mimic the real-life golf experience.
