National Night Out Day is observed annually on the first Tuesday in August. It is a community-police awareness-raising event in the United States.
National Night Out has been celebrated since 1984 and is sponsored by the National Association of town Watch in the United States and Canada.

The Dubuque Police Department is joining forces with Target, the Dubuque Multicultural Family Center, Dubuque Leisure Services, area Neighborhood Associations, and numerous other crime prevention & community advocates to bring National Night Out (NNO) to our city for the 7th consecutive year.

National Night Out will be held from 6pm to 8pm. Tuesday, August 2nd, @ Comiskey Park.

The free event will include food, beverages, music, games, and a bounce house/slide. Police and fire department vehicles will be on display.

At 8:30pm, the movie “Minions” will be screened.
