Luke Bryan is one of the biggest artists in country music today, but that doesn't mean he's going to start taking it easier. In a new interview, the superstar explains why he's still pursuing such a relentless touring schedule.

Bryan's 2016 Kill the Lights Tour launches on Feb. 16 in Evansville, Ind., and extends all the way through October. "Everybody is like, ‘Wow, you're doing 90-something dates again,'" the "Home Alone Tonight" singer tells Rolling Stone Country. "For me, everything I've ever done has worked to make all this stuff happen, so I'm not going to start shaving dates away."

Hard touring has been essential to growing Bryan's career, but he says he also still enjoys it. "My take on touring is it's been so fun for me and that's just where my bread is buttered," he observes. "I enjoy getting out there and being in front of the fans."

The 2016 Kill the Lights Tour features special guests Little Big Town and Dustin Lynch, and in addition to playing some of the biggest arenas in the country, the tour is also slated to hit five stadium venues, including Chicago's Wrigley Field and Boston's Gillette Stadium.

"I want to get out there and be in front of as many people as I can and have fun," Bryan states. "Stadiums are daunting, so it's amazing to do it."

He plans to keep pursuing that kind of hard touring just as long as he can.

“As long as [fans] are out there doing it, I’m always going to have a pretty stacked up touring schedule.”
