Two of country music's rising female acts were big winners at the 2016 Radio Disney Music Awards: Both Kelsea Ballerini and Maddie & Tae took home trophies during the ceremony.

Ballerini received the all-genre Best New Artist honor, beating out DNCE, Daya and Nathan Sykes for the win.

"Best new artist?!?" Ballerini tweeted following her win. "GUYS. YOU DID THIS. Thank you."

During the RDMA show, Ballerini teamed up with fellow Best New Artist nominee Daya to perform a mashup of her newest single, "Peter Pan," as well as Daya's "Hide Away." Press play on the video below to watch their performance.

Maddie Marlow and Tae Dye, meanwhile, earned Favorite Country Artist and Favorite Country Song, the latter for "Fly."

“When you write songs, you want to believe they touch people,” Dye says in a press releaese. “We wrote "Fly" to help us keep the faith when we were unsure. If these votes meant it helped even some of the voters, then that’s everything we can hope for our music."

Adds Marlow, "Radio Disney and this award remind both of us that what seemed so personal, so ‘how are we going to get through this?!’ is incredibly universal -- literally all around the world! For "Fly" to be recognized like this? It’s crazy, and awesome, and wow!”

Other winners at the 2016 Radio Disney Music Awards included Gwen Stefani (Hero Award) and Taylor Swift (Best Song of the Year, Most Talked About Artist and Best Breakup Song).
