Keith Urban Plays Surprise Club Show in Nashville [WATCH]
Keith Urban played a surprise show at the Nashville club 12th & Porter on Thursday night (April 13). Fans packed into the Music City club got to hear the country star perform his own hits as well as some covers throughout his more-than-two-hour set.
Urban’s surprise club concert was billed on 12th & Porter’s website as “Little Bit of Everything.” However, One Country reports, fans started getting curious after Urban was spotted leaving the club on Thursday afternoon, and by the time doors opened for the show, the rumors had been confirmed.
Among the songs Urban performed on Thursday night were “The Fighter,” his current single and a duet with Carrie Underwood, “Blue Ain’t Your Color” and “Without You,” released as a single in 2011. Readers can press play above to hear the crowd at 12th & Porter sing Underwood’s parts in the chorus of “The Fighter;” a snippet of “Without You” is below.
Also in Urban’s Thursday night set were covers of Tommy Tutone’s “867-5309 / Jenny,” the Steve Miller Band’s “The Joker” and “Some Days You Gotta Dance,” a song originally performed by Urban with his band the Ranch in the late 1990s. Readers can press play below to watch a snippet of Urban’s cover of “867-5309.”
After spending much of 2016 on the road in support of his newest studio album, Ripcord, Urban is enjoying some time (mostly) off. He does, however, have a few festival appearances lined up throughout the summer, including at the 2017 CMA Music Festival.
