A bit of a warmup is headed our way this weekend and that got me thinking about ice cream and of course ice cream trucks.

Growing up in the small town of Cascade we didn't see many ice cream trucks as a kid, But now that I live in Dubuque, I often hear the familiar sounds of calliope music coming from the local ice cream trucks.  I ran across an article showing several unique ice cream trucks.  See them when you CLICK HERE.

I also couldn't help remember a Mom(not mine) talking about a little white lie they used to tell their kids.  They told the little ones that when the ice cream truck plays music...that means they are out of ice cream.  Of course that just kept Mom and Dad from having to shell out any money for ice cream.  Mean....but effective.

Here's to a summer filled with ice cream(and ice cream trucks).  Ken
