Got an idea to improve Dubuque.  Here's your chance to be heard.

The City of Dubuque Housing and Community Development Department, in partnership with the Dubuque Community Development Advisory Commission, is seeking community input as part of a citywide planning effort to identify community needs.

Input received will be considered in the development of a five-year consolidated plan identifying how Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds and other federal funds should be spent in Dubuque over the next five years.

The CDBG program was established 40 years ago in August 1974 when seven individual competitive grant programs were merged into a flexible block grant to meet community development needs.  The City of Dubuque receives approximately $1.2 million each year in federal CDBG funds from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The funds are used for eligible activities in the areas of housing, economic development, neighborhood and public services, public facilities, and planning/administration.
