It's been about 15 years since I've seen Garth Brooks in concert so I'm really looking forward to tonight's show in Chicago.  In my 30 plus years in radio I've been able to attend a lot of concerts.  Country, Rock, Pop,  you name it I've probably seen it.  But I can honestly tell  you nothing compares to Garth.  When he takes the stage the crowd is electric   Start to finish it's an experience.  I still remember the last time I saw Garth at this arena.  Then it was known as the Rosemount Aeena.  I'll never forget the song Unanswered Prayers.  Garth sang the first line of the song....and the crowd took it from there..singing the entire song like a 25,000 person choir.  My hair stood on end that night and I still get goose bumps when I think about it.  I also remember a Garth concert in Iowa City.  Traffic was so bad that night that Garth was actually late for his own concert.  No worries, he apologized for the delay and then went on to play nearly two and half hours.  He ended the concert by taking the drum set apart and handing out the cymbals.   It easy for me to see how Garth was able to sell 11, yes 11 shows in Chicago.  I don't know if you have a bucket list....but if you do, attending a Garth Brooks concert should be near the top of the list.
