Danielle Bradbery Returns to ‘The Voice’ to Perform ‘Worth It’ [Watch]

Danielle Bradbery returned to the show that launched her career on Tuesday night (Dec. 5), when she performed a new song, “Worth It,” on The Voice.

The 21-year-old singer looked sophisticated and elegant in a white off-the-shoulder dress, with her hair pulled up and back. She sang with a great deal of control in the first verse, seated on a riser, before getting to her feet to build up into the powerful chorus, which delivers a message of self-worth.

Bradbery demonstrated all over again why she dominated the stage of The Voice when she competed on the show in 2013, when she was ultimately crowned the youngest winner in the show’s history to that point at the age of 16. But Bradbery has come a long way since then in terms of maturity, and her performance Tuesday night displayed a newfound restraint, while “Worth It” and many of her other new songs mine more complex emotional themes than her previous work.

The singer released her self-titled debut album in 2013 and scored a hit with “The Heart of Dixie,” but she’s been laying low for the last few years, reinventing herself for her much-anticipated sophomore album, I Don’t Believe We’ve Met. That project serves as a reintroduction to Bradbery as an adult, and “Worth It” is one of the standout songs from the album, which dropped Friday (Dec. 1).

Tuesday night’s episode of The Voice revealed the Final 8 for Season 13. Next week Brooke Simpson, Addison Agen, Keisha Renee, Noah Mae, Chloe Kohanski, Adam Cunningham, Red Marlow and Davon Fleming will return to compete to see who will become the big winner of Season 13 of The Voice.
