Congrats to Senior Speech Club

Kudos to the Speech Department at Dubuque Senior High SchoolSenior earned three of 11 critic’s choice banners for group mime, musical theatre and radio broadcasting Saturday at the Iowa High School Speech Association Large Group All-State Festival at Iowa State University. It was the third time Senior has received three banners from a single festival.  My daughter Carrie was a member of the Speech/Drama Club several years ago.  She loved it so much she went to college for Speech and Drama and is currently working in the theatre department at Bradley University in Peoria.  High School sports tend to get all the press and the headlines but the students in Speech and Drama work just as hard to hone their skills.

Congrats again to the Senior Speech Department.
