Brooks & Dunn will release their collaboration project Reboot on April 5 — an album that features artists like Thomas Rhett, Brothers Osborne and Luke Combs taking a stab at some of the country duo's biggest hits.

But it was Kane Brown who truly blew them away.

"Kane was a great surprise," Kix Brooks told Bobby Bones in a radio interview on Friday (Feb. 8) about Brown's vocals on "Believe." "His records are one thing, but when you plug someone into a song like that, I think (Ronnie and I) both just kind of looked at each other when he starting singing and went, 'Wow, this is going to be good.'"

"He stepped up," Ronnie Dunn adds in the above interview. "When he really started singing and bore down on it ... man, it was like, 'Dude, all the stuff you need in your voice is right there.'"

Brown's collaboration with Brooks & Dunn on their inspiring 2005 hit "Believe" was released on Friday, along with Luke Combs' collaboration with the iconic duo on "Brand New Man."

It seems Brown is still pinching himself at the sheer opportunity to sing with the country legends.

"I've never really sung in the studio with someone else, especially not with someone whose voice is as good as Ronnie's," Brown says in a press release about the new project. "For him to be looking at me on the other side of the glass, and both of us singing, it was just awesome. It felt like we just got comfortable around each other, so we were really able to kill it."
