BIKE 5-18-17

It's day 4 of Bike to Work week and so far I'm still standing.  I sure was glad I wasn't riding my bike last night when those severe storms blew through.  Not sure either of us would have survived.

STORM DAMAGE

After dogging stones and small rocks on yesterdays ride to work, today it was small branches and twigs.  That wind last night sure did a number on some area trees including the one I passed by this morning. (See photo).  I also saw road signs that had blown off their post, and way too many garbage can and recycle bin lids to count.

I forgot to charge by battery last night...and I paid for it today.  The electric assist went dead about a mile and half from the radio station so the remainder of my trip was all ME.  Won't make that mistake again.

So far it's been a great Bike to Work week.  And thanks to my battery assist TREK bike from Free Flight it's been pretty easy.

For those that may have just stared following my blog, tt is national bike to work week this week and Brian and the crew at Free Flight have hooked me up with a TREK Dual Sport+ electric hybrid: Part city bike, part adventure trail ride. Fast 700c wheels, suspension, and a light, strong frame make it the go-anywhere choice.

Electric bikes from Free Flight amplify your pedaling power and your ability to do and see more. Trek e-bikes make more possible. They're quick and smooth, with predictable, easy-to-control power and a long-lasting removable battery that recharges at any household outlet.

Where do you want to go? Now that's a decision you can make after you begin your ride. On or off the road, Dual Sport+ can conquer it all with confidence.

40-60 miles of range on a full charge.  Assist is awesome in a hilly city like DBQ.    Ride to work without getting sweaty.

It's not too late for you to join the Bike to Work campaign.
