It's been just over 2 months since Cascade High School was announced as the Grand Prize winner in the State Farm "Celebrate My Drive" contest.  All photos below courtesy of Travis Andrews.

As  the winner, the school received a $100,000 grant and a private concert from The Band Perry.  The two month wait must have felt like forever to the students.  Several students and staff got to meet the band backstage before today's concert.  The cheering for Band Perry started way before they even took the stage.  The trio did not disappoint today with a show including compete sound and lights just like a huge arena show.  These may be as close as these students will ever get to a music act of this caliber.  The seat farthest from the stage in the auditorium couldn't have been more than a couple hundred feet away  The students and staff were each assigned a seat but none of them used it.  They crowd stood from start to finish.  At one point lead singer Kimberly Perry asked the Junior High students to make some noise...and they did.  But then the High School students were asked to cheer and the auditorium shook.  The excitement in the room was unbelievable and an experience these students won't soon forget.  As a former graduate of Cascade High School, I couldn't be more proud to be a "Cougar"  Congrats again to the school and the entire community.  WELL DONE!  Ken.
