Area Teams Make Iowa Tourney

Congratulations to the area Boys Basketball teams that have made it to the Iowa state tournament in Des Moines.  Wahlert advanced last night.  Cascade advanced over the weekend.  I'm sure I'm missing other teams that have made it as well. As a graduate of Cascade High School, I will likely spend more time following the Cougars than the Golden Eagles.  But since they play in different classes I can root for both of them knowing they won't have to play each other.  Cascade plays March 10th against Iowa City Regina.  Wahlert faces Waverly Shell Rock.   Best of luck to the Western Dubuque Girls Basketball team as they head to the state tournament.  Good luck to all and congrats on a great season so far. Also want to mention the Cascade Girls Basketball team had a great season losing in the first round of the tournament on Monday.  Ken
