50 Years Ago Today

You can't turn on the television or listen to a radio newscast today without hearing about Michelle Obama's 50th Birthday today.   Believe it or not, every 7 seconds someone in the United States turns 50!   And that got me thinking....what else is 50 this year50 years ago Beatlemania began, President John F. Kennedy visited West Berlin and delivered his famous "Ich bin ein Berliner" speech. Push-button telephones were introduced, 1st class postage cost 5 cents, and the population of the world was 3.2 billion, less than half of what it is today.

Now if you know me you probably expect me to make some wise crack about someone turning 50 today...but I wont'  You see I'll be turning 50 in 148 days(June 28th if you don't want to do the math)   So no Viagra jokes, no prune jokes, no Metamucil jokes from me...don't want them to come back to haunt me in June
