Tributes to Glen Campbell, Reba McEntire and George Strait, plus a performance from the country King himself highlighted the 2017 ACM Honors ceremony.

Lady Antebellum's Hillary Scott opened the show but was soon joined by Little Big Town's Kimberly Schlapman and Karen Fairchild to pay tribute to McEntire. The country legend received the Mae Boren Axton Service Award becoming one of several female legends honored on Thursday (Aug. 23).

Kelsea Ballerini was given impressive stage time, playing a medley of her hits plus her new song "Legends." The "Peter Pan" singer received an award, but the honors really took a backseat to the once-in-a-lifetime performances. Chris Stapleton and Alan Jackson paying tribute to Strait? Yes please, all day long. That happened when Stapleton sang "When Did You Stop Loving Me" and Jackson performed a two-song medley. Strait would ultimately close the show with "Here for a Good Time."

Other tributes included Chris Janson's ode to Shel Silverstein, and Maren Morris honoring Campbell with "Galveston." Thomas Rhett, Toby Keith and Lori McKenna were a few other performers on this night. See pictures of some of the best on stage moments above before checking out red carpet fashion below.

The 2017 ACM Honors will air on CBS on Sept. 15 at 9PM ET.
